A public hearing was held by the Madison Planning Commission at the Madison Municipal Complex located at 100 Hughes Road on August 20, 2015 at 5:30 P.M. for a request to rezone the property at 1568 Slaughter Road (house across Slaughter Road from the Potters Mill entrance). The request would rezone the property from R-1A, Low Density Residential District to B-2, Community Business District. Representatives from Potters Mill HOA Board and neighbors adjacent to the subject property were in attendance and spoke in opposition to the rezoning request. The Madison Planning Commission voted 8-0 to disapprove the zoning request. The next step is for the request to go the City of Madison City Council for a final vote on September 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Madison Municipal Complex.
